Brent A. Heineken

An amazing husband and father has returned home to our Heavenly Father on December 21,
2022.

Brent A Heineken(73) passed away peacefully after a two year battle with liver cancer.

Brent was born March 22, 1949 in Salt Lake City UT to Standish and Helen Heineken.

Brent grew up in the Salt Lake Valley where he met his eternal companion and best friend Marla. Brent and Marla celebrated 53 years of marriage together while juggling careers, life and most importantly family.

Brent joined the Utah Air National Guard in 1967 which is where the path to his life in Alaska began.

Brent and Marla had seven children Adam, Chad, Lee, Trent, Tana, Darla and Bonnie. In 1986 they moved to North Pole Alaska and Alaska became home.

Nothing meant more to Brent than his family. You could always find dad/grandpa spending time with the kids helping them with whatever they needed. Family get-togethers were his favorite and he could often be seen sitting on the sidelines with a smile watching chaos ensue.

His love always shined not only for his family but anyone who entered his home who immediately was considered family. When he wasn’t spending time with his earthly family, Brent enjoyed his time researching his family history and loved working on the genealogy of his ancestors.

Brent was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Brent fulfilled many callings over the years but by far his favorite was serving three Senior Missions with Marla. As a senior missionary in Salt Lake he spent each day at Temple Square and had the most amazing view of the Salt Lake Temple.

Brent is survived by his wife Marla, his children & their spouses, grandchildren, great grandchild, family and friends. A memorial service will be held February 22, 2023 from 2-4pm at Redwood Cemetery in West Jordan Utah and a celebration of life will be held March 22, 2023 in North Pole AK. Details on both events to come. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation
to the American Cancer Society.
