Linda Taylor (Bills)

DEATH: LINDA LEE BILLS
Published: Monday, May 31, 1993

Linda Lee Bills died peacefully May 28, 1993 after struggling with complications from cancer.

Linda was born April 30, 1949 to Ross and Zelda Dunkley Taylor. She was a graduate of Brigham Young University and enjoyed the arts, especially drama. Linda enjoyed creating and sharing a happy home where all were welcome. Her many friends and family were delighted with her wonderful sense of humor and style. She rose to any occasion with enthusiasm and preparation.  A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, her influence for good was felt among the youth and all who knew her. Above all, she was devoted to her husband, George, and her children, Scott (serving an LDS mission in Bristol, England), Lisa, Eric, and Laura Lee, all of Provo. Linda and George have built a strong, happy and stable home with family traditions and high ideals. Always emphasizing service to the Lord. Linda fought hard to live so that she could continue to guide and nurture her children. The companionship with her husband George was beautiful and enduring and will continue throughout the eternities.

Linda is survived by her husband; her children; one brother, Scott Taylor of Las Vegas, Nevada; and her parents, Ross J. and Zelda D. Taylor of Provo, Utah. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3, 1993, 12 noon in the Provo North LDS Ward Chapel, 1260 West 1150 North. Viewing will be Wednesday, June 2, 1993 at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the chapel.

I wasn't a close friend of Linda's but I learned a lot about her from her high school love, George Bills, who she married.  George & I had math together as seniors & he was always talking about her. She went to school for some time, at Utah State. While she was there George was lost without her.  She waited for George while he went on a mission & while he served in the military. If I remember right she had a floral shop in Orem or Provo.  I can't remember what yr. she died,  I went to her viewing & I believe George said she died of breast cancer.
