She had lived in Washington State since 1989. She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she went to Sherman Elementary, Evergreen Junior High, and Skyline High School. Mary Ann was loved by many. She was an adoring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was very active in her garden, her faith community, her gym, and her family and friends' lives. She was a light and a beacon of hope and strength to all.

Family members include her "favorite guy" and husband of 46 years, Norman Gonzales; daughters Heather Moreno and Tiffany Gonzales; grandchildren Marlena, Thomas, Drew, and Rose Dougherty. She was second oldest of ten siblings and was a most loved and admired sister and sister-in-law, cousin, and auntie. Mary Ann was a displayer for Home Interiors for nearly 40 years. She loved empowering women to beautify their lives and homes. She tirelessly and patiently poured out her life for others. She devoted many hours to spreading the joy and hope she felt in God to others. Mom continued to make doting friends and blessed memories with loved ones right til the end.
